Sharknado VS Poll #1

Some people have fertile minds. Mine is is more like a compost heap. It generates weird things all the time and to make sure I get them out of the heap properly I’ve been putting them into Twitter polls.

OK then. Sharknado. Yeah, say what you will, the franchise is getting a lot of bang for the buck. A mockery of themselves, these films are ripe mashup material. So what films could be made when combined with Sharknado, and which one do you think might be the best?

Sharknado Vs Godzilla

Imagine if you will, a sharknado colliding with Big G? Would sharks go flopping off his warty sides, or would the impact be more like getting wound up in barb wire, with each flying shark taking big bites out of King Kaiju? Either way, it seems like it would be an spectacular visual to create.

Sharknado Vs Wolfcop

So the Sharknado strikes Wolfcop’s town, dropping sharks everywhere! Forced to fight for his life, things get real when the local liquor store gets infested with Great Whites! Will Wolfcop survive? Can Wolfcop get a drink before it’s too late? How many sharks can Wolfcop tear apart when he really gets going? I want to know!

Sharknado Vs Astroboy

The ability to fly makes Astroboy a different kind of target, and the machine gun in his ass makes him formidable to follow, but would these attributes be enough for him to protect his loved ones? What other tricks would Astroboy need to destroy the toothy cyclone?

The Mist

I keep thinking of that enormous monster that appears at the end of The Mist. There must be more like, in all size ranges. Perhaps this encounter would be one that might save the world, send a Sharknado after these other-worldly monsters! Maybe a Sharknado is the only thing that could stop them long enough for the powers-that-be to figure out how to seal up the multidimensional rift the soldiers created?

OK, those were the choices on the poll. What would you pick? What did the Twitter audience pick?

Twitter Folks Picked…

Godzilla came in first. I can understand that. Then The Mist, followed by Wolfcop, and finally Astroboy.
